6. How much do your products cost?

The product cost depends on the quality and size of each rug or kilim. However, the prices will range somewhere from $100 to $5000 per item.

7. What materials are your products made of?

Sheep's wool is the most commonly used material for hand-knotted rugs. Depending on the origin of the rug, it is also obtained locally from herds of sheep. In addition to the pile, the warp and weft are also often made of wool. Even today, wool is often still spun by hand. Besides wool, some straps of cotton and silk are also part of the rug’s material.

8. What is the best thing to clean a rug with?

A mixture of equal parts white wine vinegar, dish washing liquid, and warm water should remove tough stains like coffee, red wine, and mud. The best thing to do with mud, however, is to leave it to dry and vacuum before cleaning. If you want an easy way to keep your rug clean, then choose a machine-washable one.

9. What should I know before buying a rug?

When buying an area rug, consider foot traffic. Low pile works best in high-traffic areas, as it's easier to hide tracks. A detailed pattern is also helpful in high-traffic areas, as it helps hide stains. High-pile or shag rugs are soft, making them great for bedrooms and sitting areas.

10. In what area should I place my rugs?

Place the rug in the center of the living room (under your ottoman or coffee table), and place (at least) the front legs of your sofa and armchairs on the rug too, so that the rug disappears underneath the furniture, and the furniture frames the area. This makes for a cleaner, more aesthetic appearance

11. How many rugs can I put in one area?

You can keep it simple and have differently patterned rugs in the same color scheme throughout the living space, or you can really jazz it up and begin layering rugs on top of each other. Mixing multiple rugs can be done throughout the house, living room, bedrooms, and even your formal dining room, when done right.

12. How long do your products last?

Our products last for 10 to 100 years. One of the major benefits of hand knotted rugs over machine made rugs is that the wool does not tend to shed as much, as the knots are secure. Depending on the level of traffic, the quality of the rug, and the level of care it receives, your rug could last anywhere from 20 to 200 years.

13. How do I pick the right sized product for my house?

This is a good question. However, the best practice is that, you should make sure that your rug is at least 6″ wider (8″ is optional) than your sofa on both sides. Typically, run the rug the length of the sofa. Give 30″ to 36″ of a walkway between large furniture pieces (if your living room allows for it). If not, then at least 18″-24″. That will help to confirm your rug size.

17. How long does shipping take once I have placed my order?

King Rug will proceed with shipment after an order and secure payment verification. Normally, a shipment should be received within 4-7 business days. For more details, review our shipment policy.

18. Do you do international shipping?

For the time being, we can only make shipments within the USA and Canada.

19. How much does shipping cost?

Free shipment is granted with any successful purchase. For more details, refer to the King Rug shipment policy.

21. What should I do if I receive a wrong order?

Within 15 days, the customer has the right to return any products. For details, refer to King Rug return policy.

22. Can I keep an item sent to me by mistake?

In case King Rug sends you an item that you didn't order, you would have the right to inform King Rug via info@kingrugllc.com, or call our customer service. King Rug will provide you a free shipment product pick up arrestment via UPS or Fedex. The item will be picked up from the front gate, or depending on customer location preference in a pre-scheduled time.

23. How much will I pay for shipping back the item?

You pay only 50% for return shipping if you're returning the item, because you changed your mind within 15 days from purchase date. Online returns can only be returned after receiving a Return Authorization code and Return Authorization Number (KRRSKU) for the return. To receive a return authorization, please refer to our shipping and return policy page.

24. How long will my refund be processed?

Refund will be processed immediately within arrival of a return shipment. Normally, a return process should take up to 7 business days, depending on banking agencies.

25. How do you clean and disinfect a rug?

With white vinegar, baking soda, and dish soap:
Spread. Sprinkle baking soda generously all over the carpet.
Let it sit. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes while you prepare the cleaning mixture.
Create a cleaning solution. Mix equal parts water and white vinegar in a bucket. ...

26. How do I clean and maintain the products I have bought from your store?

By quick wash. In general, hand knotted wool rugs may require a full wash once every five to ten years. Often, the fringes may show a bit of dirt; this can be cleaned without the entire rug being washed. However, to renew the appearance of your handmade carpet, you can give it a quick surface wash.

27. How do I fix a snag in the rug that I bought?

Examine the snag. If it's less than 1/2-inch long, snip it off with a pair of scissors just above the base of the carpet. Tuck the cut ends remaining on the carpet back into the surrounding carpet fibers. Secure the ends with a dab of glue from a hot glue gun.

28. What is the proper way to store my rugs?

Store the rug standing up: Do not store rolled rugs on the ground. Do not store anything on top of a stored rug. Boxes and other items can cause cracks and destroy a rug's shape.

29. Do you recommend using a rug pad?

Rug pads are optional, depending on the type of floor. Regardless of the type of floor covering underneath your area rug, it needs to be protected. Area rug backings can sometimes be rough, which could cause scratches on hardwood or another type of hard surface floor.

30. Can I cancel my order?

An order can be canceled or changed, as long it has not already been placed to be shipped, typically within 24 hours after it has been placed with us. Our goal is to get you your order as quickly as possible within the delivery time frame quoted, therefore, orders that come in through our website are placed immediately. Email us at customerservice@kingrugll.com or call us during business hours at 844-267-8305 to request a cancellation or change to your order and we will work with you as best possible.
If your credit card has been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, King Rug and Curtain shall promptly issue a credit to your credit card within 8 business days.

31. What if my order arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the ordered items appear to be damaged during shipment, torn packaging, water damage, etc. Do NOT accept the shipment. Take a picture and notify your reasons for refusal on the delivery receipt, and notify us within 24 hours for a replacement order to be sent.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, and you did not refuse shipment, we will still replace any damaged or defective rugs. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@kingrugllc.com. Please include your order number, and pictures of the damage or defect. Once we have verified the defect or damage, we will contact you concerning your replacement and additional instructions.

32. Why did King Rug & Curtain cancel my order?

The following five reasons may be one of the reasons that King Rug & Curtain cancelled your order. We will never cancel an order without sending you an additional follow up email as to why your order was cancelled.

You, the customer, have cancelled us within 24 hours before the order has shipped requesting a cancellation.Every credit card payment on our website goes through a fraud analysis. If the payment is suspected of fraud, the order is immediately cancelled. In this case, you may not be directly cancelled since the contact information on the order could be fraudulent as well.

King Rug & Curtain is not responsible for any typographical errors. We reserve the right to cancel any customer order that is found to have a pricing error due to a website programming bug or typographical error. We reserve the right to change any and all content on the site including, but not limited to, the prices and availability of merchandise offered for sale on the site without notice and without liability.

If your credit card has been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, King Rug & Curtain shall promptly issue a credit to your credit card. 

33. Is there anything else that I need to know?

King Rug is now open to have your order for any type of area rug selection. We can provide any size, shape, color rugs which are 100% made of wool and silk. King Rug also came up with designing any family pictures which can be knotted into a memorable rug.

In Addition: Neither King Rug & Curtain nor the manufacturer of the product cannot and does not guarantee that any particular finish/color on any item will match exactly to the same finish/color on an item previously purchased or on any item which may have been seen locally.

Rug Size Variations: Size variations in machine made rugs usually do not exceed two inches, but handmade rugs may vary in size up to six inches. All sizes listed on our website are approximate.
